About Us

Take The Space Media is an independent soccer media outlet based in the Washington, D.C. area, with coverage anchored at Audi Field and focused on the soccer world that moves through it.

Through regular coverage of D.C. United, we follow Major League Soccer from a Washington perspective—covering the home side, the clubs and players that come through the District and the stories surrounding the league. Our coverage also extends across the Audi Field soccer ecosystem, including the Washington Spirit and other matches, competitions and events hosted throughout the region. Additionally, we also provide coverage of the US Soccer National teams and other international soccer games.

Photography is central to how we tell those stories. Take The Space Media combines original match photography with independent reporting to document the players, competition, atmosphere and moments that define a match—both on the field and around it.

Our coverage is not limited to one club or one level of the game. As opportunities allow, we cover soccer throughout the professional and developing landscape, including MLS, NWSL, USL Championship, US Soccer National teams, USL League One, MLS NEXT Pro, USL Super League and other competitions and events that intersect with our coverage.

Our goal is straightforward: provide consistent independent match coverage, original photography and reporting from the games we’re able to cover in person or in collaboration with our partners, while expanding our reach as Take The Space Media grows.
